We understand a build from the ground up.
We're a family-owned building company based in Whangamatā, and we deliberately keep our workload small. Taking on only a handful of projects at a time means Riki personally overseas your build from the first site visit to final walkthrough - not handed off partway through to someone you've never met.
That hands-on approach comes from how Riki thinks about a build. He's capable of surveying a site and drawing up plans himself, and he does his own quantity surveying too - which means a more accurate handle on costs from the outset, and savings passed onto you. This is part of the reason why he reads a site and set of plans better than most: he understands a build from the ground up, not just from the framing stage. That same eye shows up in the renovation and bathroom work he does day to day - more designs than we can count, getting a tricky layout right the first time.
With 20+ years in the industry and a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) qualification, Riki works to New Zealand Building Code standard on every job, whether it's a bathroom renovation, a full home renovation, or a complex insurance reinstatement.
We work across Whangamatā, Onemana, Opoutere, Tairua, Pauanui, and Whiritoa.
Our Director
Raised on the family farm in Whangamatā, Riki learned a strong work ethic early - and has spent his career since taking on challenging projects head on.
Early on that meant project managing the rebuild of the DOC Momorangi Campground in Marlborough, building the Anchorage DOC Hut in the Abel Tasman National Park where supplies were sent to site by helicopter and barge.
A project he's particularly proud of: a new home on a steep, difficult rural site, he surveyed the land, created an access road, and designed a large family home to suit the slope of the land before handing it to an architect to finalise.
He also drew up the floor plan for the Whangamatā Community Marae, currently working it's way through council.
He is just as comfortable on the tougher jobs - insurance repairs, storm damage, leaky homes - bringing the same problem-solving to sites other builders won't take on.
